What Is the Best Method to Clean EVA Marine Flooring?
Regular cleaning can be accomplished by simply washing the mats with mild soap and water and a medium to stiff bristled brush. Boat washing soap or other mild detergent, water, and a hose work well. Although our EVA Marine Flooring is staining resistant, certain things, such as food, wine, fish blood or grease may stain the mats if they are left in contact for an extended period. It is always best to clean or rinse away any spills as soon as possible. Work the cleaner into the stain with a stiff bristle brush, brushing with the grain texture, and rinse with a hose to finish.
Suggested Cleaners:
-
Simple Green® All-Purpose Cleaner (condiments, chips, or wine)
-
Spray Nine® Heavy-Duty Cleaner/Degreaser (oil stains)
-
Soft Scrub® Cleanser
-
Fantastik® All Purpose Cleaner
-
Formula 409® All-Purpose Cleaner
*Avoid any acid-based cleaners like FSR

How long will our EVA Marine Flooring last?
EVA Marine Flooring is very resistant to most weather conditions and is designed to be in the elements while being used. It is however best to keep your boat, kayak or other vehicle covered or stored indoors while not being used to extend the life of your mats. Our EVA Marine Flooring has a 3-year warranty against fabrication defects but can last much longer than this with proper care. Light Amplification starts affecting any EVA Marine Flooring after a year of full exposure to the sunlight at approximately 165 Degrees Fahrenheit. Keeping your mats covered when you are not using them will extend their life considerably. You should treat them similarly to the way you treat your vinyl seats or other soft materials in your boat.
Focused Refracted Light.
Much like magnifying glass, certain things on a boat can cause focused light which can cause blushing or burning of the surface on your EVA Marine Flooring. This is a very rare occurrence while using the boat, but if you leave your boat on a dock, lift or trailer and the sun is at the correct angle this can occur. The best way to avoid this is to cover the boat when you are not using it. If this happens to your mats they are not ruined. The damage usually looks like a wet spot (a little darker) and over time this will blend or weather back into the rest of the mat area and become less noticeable.

Is Adhesion Covered Under Warranty?
Adhesion warranties cover 100% of material cost for 0 - 6 months upon installation for specific pads that have adhesive issues. 6 months -1 year will be discounted 50% of the retail price and year1-2 will be discounted 25% of retail price.
*Adhesion Warranty only applies for clean surfaces; glue residue or remains of other materials present on the surface at the time of installation will threaten the quality and durability of our EVA Marine Flooring.

How do I prepare the surface for installation?
Use acetone or alcohol and a clean rag to remove any dirt, sunscreen, wax, sweat, etc. Scrub well and let dry completely. If the boat is new, you should repeat several times, as new boats often have residual mold release that may hinder adhesion. Be sure to check local and states laws regarding chemicals before using any questionable substances on the water.

What is the process to have my boat completed?
The process is extremely simple! Provide your boat make, model and further requested details on our contact page. Fisher Deck Inc. will provide an estimate based on these criteria via phone or email. Our team will then come to your location for a formal measurement to template the boat with our Prodim Proliner machine. At time of measurement, a 50% deposit is collected. We will then clean up the files, design your template and order product. We will have your product ordered and schedule an installation typically no more than three weeks from the time of measurement. Final payment is due at the time of installation.
